Currently working on a large housing construction site in Lucan, Co. Dublin. My main activities are in the construction of roofs and framing of internal walls (First fixing).
As part of my college course I had 6 months work experience working within a real world scenario. My office was based in the County Museum in Dundalk Co. Louth. For 6 months I worked on building a catalogue system for an in-house museum in Aiken Army Barracks.
Qualified Painter & Decorator. Completed a 4 year apprenticeship and progressed to becoming a foreman on several jobs throughout my employment.
Took a year out from painting and decorating and traveled / worked on various jobs throughout Australia. Types of work included working on buliding sites and various different farms. This year out gave me lots of skills such as working within groups and being able to use my own initiative to complete certain tasks.
Completed a 4 year computer science honours degree course in Multimedia Web Development. Awarded first class honours.

I've used PHP for several years now, before and during college. I've built complete websites and worked with various PHP API in a procedural and Object Oriented manor.
Frameworks are something that I've really taken to during college. Laravel is by far my favorite and I continue use it to this day on personal projects and anything that needs to be scalable.
I use Javascript on a regular basis. The combination of jQuery & Ajax really help to create seemless interaction when contacting server side services such as MYSQL databases.
API's are something I like to work with regularly. I really enjoy trying to figure out how each individual API works and how to implement it into a web application. Popular API's that I've used: Facebook, Stripe, Paypal and many more.
Ionic is something I've been using over the last while to build mobile applications. I find it really useful being able to develop of multiple mobile platforms within a single code structure.
An important aspect to any dynamic web application. I've builts loads of databases to-date, primarily MYSQL, for college and personal projects.
An important tool for any web developer. I use github as a collaboration tool to work on open source projects. I also use to as version control for my own personal projects.
Search engine optimisation is another important aspect to web development. I use tools such as Google Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics to manage websites and track activity.
Currently an active member of Ardee Cycling Club. Cycling draws out the competitive streak and willingness to achieve the ultimate goal, something that can be brought to the workplace. Achieved the runner up place in the 2015 Louth Road Racing Championships. Currently racing in Cycling Ireland Road racing events as a category A3 rider and various local racing leagues.
Building websites in my spare time is something I love to do. I’ve always had the desire to build and design applications that people need and enjoy. Awarded first class honours degree in a Multimedia Web Development course in Dundalk Institute of Technology.
Working with new web technologies and frameworks really excite me. As this sector is forever moving forward at a ferocious pace, it is something I strive on, always wanting to be on top of the latest and greatest technologies that is currently available.
